2027 Freshman Summer School Experience

Schedule:
*Classes begin on Monday, June 26th and end on Friday, July 21st.
*The entry bell rings each morning at 8:20 am.  Classes begin at 8:30 am.
*Classes end at 12:35 pm each day.
*Classes will not meet on Monday, July 3rd, or Tuesday, July 4th.
 
Daily Class Schedule
*All students will take four 50-minute classes each day.  These classes are English, mathematics, science, and health. 
*The health course will satisfy a high school graduation requirement.
*Class schedule will be distributed to students at our welcome meeting on Monday, June 26th at 8:30 am (gymnasium).
*Students will have a nutrition/recreation break from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.
 
School Materials
*Students will be issued an iPad with a data plan/Internet connectivity for use during the summer session.
*Students should also have a notebook or binder with note paper, pens, and pencils.
*Teachers will inform students of any additional needs for the summer session.
 
Dress Code:
*Salesian t-shirt, polo shirt, and/or sweatshirt.
*Khaki pants or blue jeans in good shape; walking shorts (no athletic shorts)
*Sneakers or dress shoes (no Crocs or sandals)
 
Food Options
*Renovation of the on-campus cafeteria/kitchen will be completed at some time in July.  We will have lunch service during the regular school year.
*A lunch truck will be available for students at break and after school.
*Tomasito's (gym lobby) and Casa Bosco (game room) snack bars offer beverages (water, Gatorade), snacks (chips, fruit, cookies, muffins, etc.), and light meals (Hot Pockets, ramen, breakfast sandwiches, etc.)
*MIcrowaves are available for students who want to heat up food brought from home.
 
Logistics
*Students should enter campus through the pedestrian gates on Soto Street or in the lower parking lot (off of Matthews Street).
*The lower gate will close each morning by 8:45 am.  If a student arrives after 8:45 am, he should use the Soto Street gate.
*If a student arrives after the late bell (8:30 am), he should report to the main office for a tardy slip.
*Daily mass is available in the Learning Commons chapel at 7:45 am.
*Students may remain on campus for sports practices, club meetings, tutoring, or homework sessions after classes are dismissed (12:35 pm).
*The main office is open from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm throughout the summer.
