I hope you are all well and staying safe and dry from the storm.
Unfortunately, we have just discovered significant water leakage and damage on the third floor of our main classroom building. It appears that the repair work done to our roof this summer did not withstand the initial burst of rain from the storm. We have no way to stop the leaking while the storm continues this afternoon, evening, and tomorrow morning.
We will cancel classes on Monday to allow time for a work crew to assess and repair the damage. I am confident that we will be able to return to our regular schedule on Tuesday.
Students should check their emails and Canvas pages for their odd period classes. Your teachers will post brief assignments for you to complete while you are at home on Monday.
We are sorry for any inconvenience that this closure may cause you. However, we want to be certain that we can ensure the safety of the school building for all faculty and staff prior to reopening.
