Congratulations to the Class of 2019 who commenced this past Friday evening led by Valedictorian Andrew Morales and Salutatorian Jose Chanchavac who will be attending the University of California Los Angeles and Columbia University.

Congratulations to our seniors who have been accepted to over 70 different colleges and universities. This year, our seniors were awarded over $6.8 million dollars in grants and scholarships.

All students and teachers will read Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario this summer. Each student will receive a copy of the assignment and project options which will be due in the first week of school. Students MUST have a copy of the book with them when they return to school in August! Discount copies of the book ($9.00) are available in the finance office beginning on Tuesday, June 11th.

Seniors attending Grad Nite must turn in their permissions slips by Tuesday, May 20th.

Congratulations to the Salesian Baseball team for defeating the defending D7 Champions in the opening round of the CIF Playoffs. Mustang Baseball will be back in action for the 2nd Round of the CIF playoffs tomorrow, Tuesday against Pomona High School at Pomona. First Pitch 3:15. The 11th annual Salesian Gala Dinner will take place on Saturday, May 11th, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The school community will honor the Salesians of Don Bosco, Western Province, Manuel Villarreal (former Principal), Tom Gutierrez (former alumni board president), and Terry Mathews (former teacher).

The Math Tutoring Club moderated by Mr. Eric Crespo '10, was honored for their achievement in tutoring over 100 students of Salesian High School at their inaugural dinner and awards reception. Special recognition went to senior Matthew Marquez (Sacred Heart elem.) for being recognized by his peers as Outstanding Tutor of the Year.
