Biography: Joseph Lopez was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  He grew up in South Los Angeles and attended catholic school for 12 years. Joe is an alumnus of Salesian High, class of 1974. While at Salesian, he participated in the baseball program and the Salesian Letterman Society.

In 1982, Joe began his professional career in the Information Technology field at Northrop Grumman Corporation in El Segundo California. At Northrop Grumman, Joe held several positions including IT Project Manager and IT Program Manager for Manufacturing.  As IT Program Manager for Manufacturing, Joe’s primary responsibilities included support of the F/A-18 Jet Fighter Program.  After a 31 year career at Northrop Grumman, Joe retired in November of 2012.

In 2011, Joe returned to Salesian High School as a JV Baseball Assistant coach. The following year, he moved to the Varsity team as an assistant coach. He is now entering his 7th year as a coach in the baseball program at Salesian.
